Founder Dr. Michael D. McClary – Commonwealth Christian Academy’s mission is to point children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, encourage spiritual growth, develop Christian character and morals, and promote sound academic achievement. In prayerful response to many requests of parents in the community, Commonwealth Christian Academy (CCA) was founded in 1997 by Dr. Michael D. McClary. Noting the secular mantra being generated by the public school system, CCA was established to provide a Biblically-based and Jesus Christ centered education as an alternative choice to all those families seeking the best for their children.

Hannah Torres – Having attended an A.C.E. school our Administrator is no stranger to the A.C.E. format. Hannah loves working with young people in a classroom setting, but also finds great joy ministering to students outside of school. She has been working in Children’s Church for over 20 years and loves the interaction and challenge teaching brings. Family also plays a huge role in Hannah’s life. She has 8 children ranging in age from 2 to 22. Her prayer and desire for the school is that each student that comes through the door would come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and grow in their everyday walk God

Sherita Taylor has served the Elementary students for 7 years. Upon enrolling her children in CCA, she was curious what they were learning and how. She volunteered at CCA. After learning the A.C.E. curriculum, she became a supervisor. God placed a burden on her heart,” And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children,…” She expresses, “ It is a blessing to serve the families who entrust their children to CCA.”

Michele Spaulding – It’s easy to see that our music teacher has a love for music. Mrs. Michele Spaulding began teaching an 8th and 9th grade music class at CCA in February 2021. In the past 20 years she has taught vocal and instrumental music privately as well as at several Christian schools. This year she is teaching both elementary and high school music classes every Wednesday. When asked about her role at CCA, Mrs. Michele said “My heart is to train young people to be able to participate in the music at their local churches” .
